The Story Behind It!
After a year of launching my own online store and achieving decent profits, I encouraged one of my close friends, a highly hardworking and resourceful individual, to quit his job and venture into the online women's clothing market, initially focusing on socks and later women's underwear. We placed greater reliance on "Instagram marketing" for our business.
In exchange for providing Seed Money, and website design, I acquired 20% ownership of the company.
Why we changed the product from socks to women's underwear?
The decision to change our product was driven by careful analysis and customer feedback. After dedicating a year to selling socks on Instagram, we realized the demand was not as high as expected, and the rate of returning customers was disappointingly low. This prompted us to explore other options, leading us to discover the immense potential of women's underwear – higher profit margins, a loyal customer base, and a significant surge in demand.
With this strategic pivot to women's underwear, we were able to retain our existing customers while attracting new ones. The shift had a remarkable impact on our sales, resulting in significant growth for our Instagram page. By adapting to market dynamics and customer preferences, we found a winning formula that set us on a path of success!
